Paramedic Program Overview
We are excited that you have chosen to upgrade your professional level to Paramedic, and look forward to helping you achieve this goal! Please read below about some of the most common topics new students ask about our Paramedic Program. This program is designed around National Registry standards for National Registry Paramedic certification.
The hybrid Paramedic Program consists of 2 courses that are each 3 parts: the online portion, the live in-person training, clinical/EMS rotations, and final field internship. At the end of the Paramedic final field internship, each Paramedic student must pass a graduate scenario and interview exam with the program Medical Director. While our programs are self-paced and allow for faster completion, there is a maximum amount of time allowed for each of our programs. Maximum allowed time for our Paramedic Program is 20 months.
The online portion of each course has a 5 month deadline to complete, and includes the online coursework, weekly chat-rooms, and online proctored final exam(1 per course). A real instructor will be available to you via email and in the weekly chat rooms during this portion.
The live training portion consists of seven, 2-day Skills training/testing sessions with a live instructor, and a minimum of 456 hours of clinical rotations at Program affiliated hospitals and EMS providers. Our skill training sites are limited to Texas, and travelling to one of these sites will be required.
Rotations for Paramedic can be completed at sites in various states across the US. To view an up-to-date map of our affiliated clinical rotation sites, please CLICK HERE. Paramedic students can attend rotations and any site with a purple icon.
Once all the Paramedic Program requirements have been successfully completed by the student, the Program will issue an official Paramedic Course Completion certificate and will formally notify National Registry that the student is qualified to take the certification exam(not included in tuition).
