IMPORTANT - YOU SHOULD READ THIS CAREFULLY - YOUR RIGHTS
The Consumer Credit Act 1974 covers this agreement and lays down certain requirements for your protection which must be satisfied when the agreement is made. If they are not we cannot enforce the agreement against you without a court order. If you would like to know more about the protection and remedies under the Act, you should contact either your local Trading Standards Office or your nearest Citizens Advice Bureau.
Ownership of Goods:
During the hire period the instrument remains the property of the London Saxophone School. You must not sell or dispose of it.
Insurance and Responsibility:
The hirer is responsible for any loss or damage to the saxophone other than normal wear & tear. In the event of theft any outstanding balance on the saxophone must be paid in full. Therefore, we recommend you insure the saxophone. In most cases it can be added to a home contents policy for very little cost.
Period of Hire:
You agree to hire the sax until the end of your 5 or 10-week course (group class). We reserve the right to charge your full security deposity if the instrument is not returned to us at the end of your course (group class). You must inform us of your intention to continue hiring.
Care of the Saxophone:
You must take reasonable care to ensure that the sax is secure, adequately maintained and is not liable to misuse. We must be notified of any loss or damage.
Return of the Saxophone:
It is your responsibility to return the saxophone safely to us on your last day of class. If you fail to do so we will charge your full security deposit.
If upon receiving your saxophone we find the instrument needs repairing due to misuse, we will inform you within a day and refund your security deposit less the cost of repair.
Renewal of the Saxopohne:
The renewal must be arranged on the 4th lesson or before for the Intro course and on the 9th lesson or before for Saxophone 1, 2, 3 and Ensemble via email.
Change to your details or circumstances:
London Saxophone School must be notified immediately of any changes to your address, phone number, bank account details or employment situation.
Cooling off period:
You have a 14 day cooling off period during which you have the right to return the instrument for a refund. You will be charged for the time that you have had the instrument in your possession. Goods must be returned undamaged in original packaging, in brand new and unused condition. Note returning your saxophone does not imply a course refund.
